Grant Administration

The mission of the Grant Administration department is to administer a variety of grants in order to assist the community and our citizens. Some of the current grants managed within this department are:
  • Certified Local Government Grant (CLG)
  • Community Development Block Grant Small Cities Set-Aside (CDBG)
  • FEMA Hazard Mitigation grants, including the Hazard Mitigation Plan Update grant and Flood-prone Property Acquisition grant
  • Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) – Lake Ponca Trails
  • Assistance to Firefighters grant (AFG)

Homebuyer Assistance Program


The City of Ponca City recognizes that most renters could afford to make monthly house payments, but the largest obstacle is saving money for a down payment and closing costs. The Homebuyer Assistance Program is designed to decrease the barriers preventing low to moderate income individuals and families from owning homes. The Homebuyer Assistance Program is on a first come, first served basis which provides income eligible applicants with assistance for down payment and closing costs up to $3,500, based on funding availability. rehensive Demolition Program


The City of Ponca City proposes to undertake a comprehensive demolition program. Currently there exist many dilapidated structures within the City of Ponca City which pose a threat to the health and safety of neighboring residents. Through elimination of these structures, property values in the neighborhoods will increase, thus inducing infill development. Additionally, fire hazards will be eliminated. The Comprehensive Demolition Program is on a first come, first served basis which provides income eligible applicants with assistance for the removal of blighted structures, based on funding availability. Interim Assistance/Special Services


The purpose of this program is to provide interim assistance to income eligible applicants where immediate action is necessary in order to stop the physical deterioration of residential properties until something permanent can be undertaken, and to eliminate conditions which threaten their health and safety. Interim assistance will be available on a first come, first served basis for the replacement of sewer lines, gas lines, water lines, the removal of architectural barriers, and any other emergency type situation to stop the physical deterioration of residential properties, based on funding availability.
