Environmental Services

The Environmental Services Department consists of Water Production, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, Wastewater Treatment, and Solid Waste Collection and Landfill.

The mission of our department is to protect the environment and enhance the quality of life for our customers by delivering safe drinking water, performing effective wastewater treatment, and providing efficient collection and disposal of solid waste.

Water Production


The Water Production Division operates and maintains a water treatment plant with a capacity of sixteen million gallons per day (MGD), twenty water wells, six booster pump facilities, two elevated water storage towers, one raw water pump station, and four ground storage reservoirs.

Wastewater Treatment


The Wastewater Treatment Division operates and maintains a 9.5 MGD wastewater treatment plant, 2.1 MGD groundwater treatment facility, and twelve liftstations.

Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection


This division is responsible for distributing potable water to and gathering used water from all residential, commercial, and industrial customers. 

Solid Waste


The Solid Waste Division is a service oriented organization providing waste disposal solutions for the community. The Ponca City Landfill is a municipal solid waste disposal facility that provides safe and convenient disposal of refuse and other non-hazardous waste material.
