Medical / Dental / Prescription Insurance

premiums are available.

Life / Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance


The city pays the total cost for a $25,000 ($50,000)
insurance policy that would pay in the event of accidental
death or dismemberment. This policy is convertible when you
leave city employment. Also includes a disability waiver
of premium clause whereby if the employee is totally
disabled, premiums will be waived.

Whole Life Policy


The city pays for a $5,000 whole life policy
through New York Life. This policy is convertible when
you leave city employment. Also includes a disability
waiver of premium clause whereby if the employee is
totally disabled, premiums will be waived.

Principal Defined Benefit Retirement Plan


The city contributes toward your plan.

American Fidelity Supplemental Insurance


American Fidelity Supplemental Insurance is a voluntary option.

457 Deferred Compensation Plan

VSP Vision Insurance


VSP Vision Insurance is a voluntary option.

YMCA

City employees pay  $10.00 to $28.00  for a membership per month. This is optional.

Holidays

Holidays include ten paid holidays plus a birthday holiday after one year of employment.



Vacation

 
You can receive a maximum of four weeks of paid vacation depending on the number of years you have been employed by the City.

Longevity Plan


  • Three years of service completed = $20 additional pay per month
  • 10 years of service completed = $40 additional pay per month
  • 15 years of service completed = $60 additional pay per month
  • 20 years of service completed = $80 additional pay per month

Sick Leave


Sick leave includes eight hours per month.

Sick Leave Bonus


If no more than 24 hours of sick leave is used for a year, a $500 sick leave incentive bonus is rewarded.

Funeral Leave


Funeral leave includes four total days per year, but only three days can be used consecutively.

Emergency Sick Leave


Four days of sick leave per year can be used for immediate family members.

Military Leave


All employees ordered to active military service shall be granted military leave in accordance with all applicable laws.
