What personnel respond to ambulance calls?

Fire department personnel, who respond to ambulance calls, are cross-trained in the Emergency Medical Services to varying degrees of licensure, including EMTs – of Basic, Intermediate, and Paramedic levels.  Clinical training in the area of basic and advanced life support medical protocols is delivered to all personnel in order to satisfy the continuing education requirements set forth for recertification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians agency.
